Position Description
The Program Director is a senior leadership role within Successteam, responsible for the overall strategic direction, management, and growth of all program initiatives. This position will ensure the alignment of the Successteam Youth Council’s programs with organizational goals, enhancing the impact on high school scholars (grades 9-12) through mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement. The Program Director will provide visionary leadership, oversee a team of Program Coordinators, Interns, and Senior Program Coordinators, manage
budgets, and ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of the programs. This role is instrumental in ensuring the success of Successteam’s programs and fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including school partners, community leaders, and funders.
Duties and Responsibilities
Included but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage the strategic planning and execution of all Successteam Youth Council programs, ensuring they meet the needs of participants and align with organizational goals
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of program curricula, ensuring it is dynamic, relevant, and responsive to youth development needs
- Provide leadership and direction to the program team, including Senior Program Coordinators, Program Coordinators, and other support staff
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development within the program team
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with school administrators, community organizations, and external partners to enhance program delivery
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, using data and feedback to continuously improve program outcomes and impact
- Oversee recruitment, training, and professional development of program staff and volunteers
- Coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and retention of program participants, ensuring diverse representation and inclusion
- Represent Successteam at community events, funders’ meetings, and public speaking engagements to advocate for the mission and programs
- Ensure that all program activities comply with organizational policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Lead efforts to secure funding through grants, partnerships, and community fundraising initiatives
- Provide regular program updates and reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred)
- Minimum of (2) years of related experience, preferably in youth development or nonprofit sectors
- Ability to pass a Background Check
- Ability to pass a Drug Test
- Valid Driver’s License or access to reliable transportation
