Position Description
The Program Coordinator for the Successteam Youth Council plays a critical role in mentoring and developing high school scholars (grades 9–12) throughout the fiscal year. This position involves overseeing the implementation of biweekly in-person group sessions, college tours, outreach experiences, volunteer initiatives, and other developmental activities in alignment with the Successteam Youth Council curriculum. All selected candidates will also have access to our Mentor Training & Development Program, STRIVE, delivered in a hybrid presentation format.
Duties and Responsibilities
Included but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and facilitate biweekly group sessions and scheduled experiences (1st & 3rd Saturdays)
- Actively participate in the Successteam Youth Council curriculum and program execution
- Build and maintain relationships with key volunteers to support program participants and their families
- Serve as the Lead Mentor, providing direction and structure in the absence of the Executive Director
- Prioritize the health and safety of program participants and team members
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure program activities and meetings are well-guided and effectively managed
- Lead in emergency situations, following program emergency procedures
- Assist with communication efforts, including semester agendas, meal schedules, and experience plans
- Support the planning and execution of program activities
Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to pass a Background Check
- Ability to pass a Drug Test
- Valid Driver’s License or access to reliable transportation
